{"id":108,"date":"2023-08-15T15:44:12","date_gmt":"2023-08-15T15:44:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.caster.fm\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=108"},"modified":"2023-08-17T16:36:37","modified_gmt":"2023-08-17T16:36:37","slug":"ladiocast-free-macos","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.caster.fm\/help\/cloud\/broadcasting-tutorials\/ladiocast-free-macos\/","title":{"rendered":"LadioCast &#8211; Free &#8211; MacOS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Caster.fm API provides you with a streaming server (Icecast 2 Streaming Server) and a management interface\/app, in order to broadcast your content online you\u2019ll need to use a broadcast software to stream your content from your computer to the server, in this tutorial we will show how to install, configure and utilize LadioCast to do that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Start Streaming Server<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you can connect with the broadcast software you will need to start the server.<br>To do so, go to the Streaming Server block at the app dashboard and click the <strong>\u201cStart Server\u201d <\/strong>button<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/caster.fm\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-558\" style=\"width:677px;height:311px\" width=\"677\" height=\"311\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>At this block you will also have the server information you will need in order to configure your broadcast software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\"><strong>Multi-Channels<br><\/strong>If you have multiple channels, keep in mind that the <strong>Mount-Point <\/strong>and <strong>Broadcast Password<\/strong> are channel dependent, which means each channel has its own <strong>Mount-Point <\/strong>and <strong>Broadcast Password.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Connect with LadioCast to the streaming server<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LadioCast <\/strong>is a free software available on Mac OS X platform that streams digital audio such as Internet radio program. LadioCast is available in different languages such as English or Japanese. Iscompatible with Mac and is completely free to download. It will allow you to broadcast audio from your microphone and also mix music. The interface is simple and straight forward, having displayed 4 inputs and 4 outputs, so you can manage multiple devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Characteristics<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: inherit; background-color: initial;\">Supports Ogg Vorbis, MP3, AAC, HE-AAC, Ogg Opus and Ogg PCMOgg Vorbis, MP3, AAC, HE-AAC, Ogg Opus and Ogg PCM encoding formats<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4in\/4out\/4bus audio mixer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transmits audio streaming to multiple servers in the same time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Controllable connection events by AppleScript<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SSL supported<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Download and install<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can download FREE <strong>LadioCast<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.kawauso.com\/ladiocast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Configuration<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have downloaded your software, you can open the application. Go to the top navigation bar and click on <strong>Streamer1 -&gt; IceCast.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/caster.fm\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-13.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-578 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Click the <strong>Connection<\/strong> tab and fill in the streaming server information as provided at the app dashboard as described at the beginning of the tutorial.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/caster.fm\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-14.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-579 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Next move over to the <strong>Encoding<\/strong> tab.<br>Select the <strong>Format <\/strong>(encoding) and <strong>Bitrate <\/strong>according to your plan and set the <strong>Bitrate Mode<\/strong> to <strong>Constant<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\"><strong>Encoding<\/strong><br>while the streaming server supports most of the available codecs, we highly recommend using the MP3 encoding.
